The Nintendo gods have heard our prayers and after much teasing, they have finally been answered. Yesterday during Nintendo Direct, President Satoru Iwata announced (to all our delight) that The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask is getting the good old Nintendo 3Ds treatment and will be releasing in Spring 2015. Which almost can’t come soon enough.
Majora’s Mask released on Nintendo 64 back in 2000. It was a dark sequel to one of the most highly loved games we could have played as children, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (yes it’s my favorite, in case you were wondering). When Ocarina of Time was remade for 3Ds in 2011, everyone wondered when Majora’s Mask would be arriving to the handheld that helps us relive our childhoods. I would be lying if I said I didn’t want Nintendo to release a new 3Ds XL with Majora’s Mask as the theme.
