The Halo 4 Limited Edition console bundle was announced yesterday at the San Diego Comic Con. Any readers here surprised by this? I mean Halo 4 is a hot topic right now, especially since the reveal of more weapons and multiplayer game modes earlier this week, and the release of the official trailer for the Halo 4 live action web series Forward Unto Dawn. Besides, going on right now is the largest comic book and entertainment convention in the United States, so the announcement was almost a given. Expected as it was, it’s always a nice to see fanboy dreams come true.
Today that dream is a Halo 4 themed bundle. The bundle includes:
- Custom designed Halo 4 inspired console with a 320 GB hard drive and built-in wi-fi
- Two Halo 4 controllers
- Of course, a standard edition of Halo 4
- Wired headset
- Xbox LIVE token for exclusive downloadable in-game and avatar goodies
The controller will also be available separately for $59.99 (U.S.) and will include a downloadable bonus in the form of Halo 4 avatar t-shirt. You can pre-order the bundle now and pick it up when the game hits retail shelves on November 6. The package will go for $399.99 (U.S.).
I always wonder how many sales they get from this. Most people already have an Xbox. I would totally buy the game if it came with the controllers and maybe a cool skin for the Xbox I already have, or a faceplate.
